Registration for #SMKC25 now open!

We're delighted to announce that registration for the Super Mario Kart 2025 World Championship is now open!

And the big news this year is that the Super Mario Kart championship will be followed by the F Zero championship.

It's been on my mind for several years now, and I wanted to do this championship at another date in the year, but with all the technical equipment, TVs and SNESs already out and installed, I thought it would be a good idea to do this new F Zero championship back-to-back.

What's more, the 2 games are quite similar (Mode 7), with some players playing on both boards, so it's a great way of mixing the 2 communities.

The F Zero Championship will be held on the rom Hack “F Zero Final” in NTSC, to give access to all the tracks in Time Trial mode.

The decision to register for the F Zero and SMK championships at the same time means that players can register for both tournaments in just a few extra clicks.

And above all, it makes it easier for the organizing association to manage meals, registrations, etc. etc.

This year, for the third year running, the championships will be held in Vernon (France), but in a new venue, “l'école de la république”, as the usual venue is not available this summer.

The dates will be: August 5 to 9 for SMK and August 9 and 10 for F Zero, again organized by the GANAM association in collaboration with the FFSMK and AISMK.

To take part in the SMK championship, the price will be 35 Euros per day (2 x meals included), and 20 € for accompanying persons (price of 2 meals per day). 

Accompanying persons are kindly requested to register as well, so that we can take into account the meals to be anticipated.

The GANAM association will also be asking for a 5€ contribution to cover organizational costs and ensure the event's continuity (this will only be counted once if you wish to take part in 2 different championships).

The closing ceremony is free of charge, and you'll be asked to pay just €10 for lunch on Saturday.

That's a price of :

155€ for the entire SMK championship (35€ x4 + 10€ + 5€)

95€ for the SMK companion rate (20€ x4 + 10€ + 5€)

(If payment is made before May 20th)

To take part in the F Zero championship, the price will be €25 per day (including 1 meal), and €10 for accompanying persons (price of meal).

Accompanying persons are kindly requested to register as well, so that we can take into account the meals to be anticipated.

The GANAM association will also be asking for a 5€ contribution to cover organizational costs and ensure the event's continuity. (It will only be counted once if you wish to participate in 2 different championships).

The prize-giving ceremony will be free of charge, and there will be no meal on Sunday evening.

In other words, a price of :

55€ for the entire F Zero championship (25€ x2 + 5€)

25€ for the F Zero companion rate (10€ x2 + 5€)

(If payment is made before May 20).

Once you've registered, you'll receive an e-mail with payment instructions tailored to the days you'll be attending (check your spam folder - last year there were plenty of junk e-mails). 

Please do not delay too long in paying your registration fee, as a surcharge will be applied after : 

May 15: additional 2 Euros / day attended + 5€ plus organization fee of 5€ for a total of 10€.

June 15: 5 Euros extra / day + 15€ in addition to the 5€ organization fee, for a total of 20€.

July 15: 8 Euros extra / day + 35€ plus organization fee of 5€ for a total of 40€.

August 1st: 10 Euros extra / day attended + 75€ plus organization fee of 5€ for a total of 80€.

ATTENTION, cancellations will no longer be possible in order to avoid abuse.

Please bring your own controller, as we only have a limited number available.

On the registration form, you'll be asked if you can bring your SNES and SMK or F Zero Final games. If you can, that's great, as we need a lot of consoles to organize the championship.

Tuesday: SMK Time Trial

Wednesday: Battle Mode SMK

Thursday: SMK Match Race

Friday: SMK 150cc Grand Prix

Saturday: SMK Awards Ceremony + Time Trial F Zero + Free Play

Sunday: Grand Prix F Zero + Awards Ceremony F Zero

For participants in the SMK championship, however, we recommend that you arrive on Monday evening, so as not to miss the opening lunch on Tuesday at 1pm.

Meals are included in the registration fee and comprise lunch and dinner.

For participants, breakfast is available in the mornings, and soft drinks are available throughout the week in a private room.

Alcoholic beverages are not included in the package, and will be managed independently by each player, with a refreshment bar on site.

To suit all budgets, we don't book accommodation (hotels, gites, AirBnB, B&B...) but there are plenty of options available in and around Vernon. 

Of course, the championship remains open to spectators free of charge.
