CDM 2015 / Meeting and travelling on Tuesday 18th

Hi guys,

Time approaching soon.. so..

Are any of the French guys taking the 1:55pm / 2:00pm Montparnasse train that we know of with the UK / Dutch / German group?

Just wondered as there are usually some guys who end up crossing through same time. After the Dutch arrive at 12:30ish we will be immediately heading to Montparnasse via the subways, and KVD hopefully remembers the way. If anyone is joining us at Gare du Nord or Montparnasse at these timings let me know.

CDM 2013 / Le Campsite, shower facilities etc

Hello,

A few questions i collected from people who asked to me, probably more for Geo to answer...

1. Is the campsite an official campsite or a park / green space that we are using tents on? (this means, might there be other people's tents there also or just all of ours?)

2. Is the camping area generally secure / safe? We will bring our important things to put in the lockers you mentioned in the venue each day, and not leave them at the campsite. But the tents, clothes, suitcases will have to stay there which is away from the venue. Some of the guys were concerned about this a little.

3. How many showers are available at the campsite?

4. Are there separate showers for men and women?

5. What hours are the shower facilities open and closed at the campsite? (24 hours or less?)

6. There are toilets at the campsite and the venue, correct?

Autres / The Gaff's FC Twin

As some of you know, The Gaff isn't on any forums anymore since a while, so hes asked me if i could follow up on this subject for him quickly.

He just wanted to see if his FC twin could be returned to him by post, and he will be happy to pay for the postage via paypal or whatever is easiest method.

I assume it is still with FF's place probably? If yes please could someone communicate this to FF so arrangements could be made.

CDM 2012 / A Kettle - for hot drinks

Hi,

Could anyone in France by any chance bring a kettle (to boil hot water for hot drinks in the evening)? I understand it will be too hot in the day, but sometimes might be good for evening or even morning (cup of tea or something).

If no one has, i dont mind paying euros to someone at the cdm, for it if someone wants to buy a cheap one this weekend?

CDM 2012 / Potential Players for CDM 2012 (20th - 26th August)

Hi guys,

Just thought id made this topic just to get a feel of the volume of players. These wont be 100% confirmed players but either 100% or mostly likely, or very keen.

Mario and the guys have selected the 20th - 26th August week for the CDM, a venue just needs to be found, so hopefully with some ideas from here a suitable sized venue can be found.

Jeux Vidéo / Street Racer (SNES) Best Lap Time attack

Hello all,

It wasn't a great game with the handling and stuff but was a brief bit of fun back in the 90s, so I helped Cyberscore put something up for Street Racer.

As per some other sites we focused just on the best laps, as the 5-laps can be adjustable in the menu to many values. Also when you complete the races, the menu gives you option to focus on the best lap you hit (giving you bonus pts if you beat the best lap of the CPU for example).

The only other rule needed was for the stats adjustment, you can enter a code to adjust the stats of the drivers to make them all at full. We decided to not allow this so you have to drive them at their defaults.

Jeux Vidéo / Stunt Race FX de la Time Attack!

Hi everyone,

Ok some of you thought it was strange I abandoned MC1 no pipe jump on the final day of CDM 2011, but i already had plans to revive this game I used to play a lot back in the 90s... not as much as SMK and F-Zero as it was quite diffiult to handle, but i certainly enjoyed

Anyway firstly I have searched far and wide for record sites and the few records I located were slower so I thought why not start a WRs thread here, and a section for France records that you guys can add as im sure a few of you owned a copy of this game or can get hold of one.

I also have an NTSC copy of the game and did some research with this but haven't played it much. The interesting thing is, the timer moves faster, and the game speed feels similar, so the times you get are actually a bit slower on NTSC! I have confirmed tests with the NTSC US version and the Japanese version (called Wild Trax) and they are the same.

There is a Time attack mode, and the game saves 5-laps only, fastlaps are displayed only when you finish races (a bit like MKWii) so il just list the 5-lap times only to keep it simple. There is also a Stunt Trax where you complete an obstacle course to hit 40 stars and complete the course quickly to show the most number of remaining seconds. The Time Attack is fastest with the 2WD motorbike even though the handling is difficult, and the Stunt Trax I would recommend doing with 4WD as it is the only thing that will keep steady enough and accelerate through all the bumps etc.
